Making Foods from Gilmore Girls (vegan)

Hi and welcome back to a new fictional food video! You guys wanted one on Gilmore Girls so there you go – a video filled with the most cozy comfort foods! Cheesy Vegan Pepperoni Pizza, Homemade Pop Tarts, Coffee and Marshmallow Cookies, Fries and Mac and Cheese – this video is a lot. Healthy bowls are coming next week.

My Original Cheesy Vegan Pizza Recipe:

#1 Vegan Cherry Pop Tarts
350g flour (3 cups minus 1 tbsp)
3/4 tsp salt
85g powdered sugar
170g butter, cold (3/4 cup)
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp apple sauce
3-4 tbsp non dairy milk
1 cup cherries, frozen
1 tsp starch
1 tbsp water
non dairy milk to brush them
bake for 18-20 min at 180C
⅓ cup powdered sugar (42g)
3-4 tsp non dairy milk, see if you need more
*yields 10 – 11 poptarts

#2 Vegan Pepperoni Pizza


200g all purpose flour = 7.01 oz = 1 ½ cups + 1 ½ tbsp
50g + 1 tbsp whole wheat flour = 1.77 oz = ½ cup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
175ml water (¾ cup minus 1 tbsp)


1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp corn starch
1 cup vegan cream, non dairy milk (250ml)
2 handfuls vegan pizza cheese that melts or 1 ½ tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tsp soy sauce
extra nutritional yeast, optional
2 tsp white wine vinegar
salt to taste (i used ¼ tsp)

marinara sauce (a few tbsp per pizza)
vegan salami, or any other topic you like

*yields 1 big pizza (1 sheet basically) or 2 smaller ones

My original pizza recipe is enough for 4 pizzas:

#3 Quick Vegan Mac and Cheese

1 ½ cups short cut pasta (150g)
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp corn starch
1 cup soy milk (250ml)
2 handfuls vegan pizza cheese
2-3 tsp white wine vinegar
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
nutritional yeast, optional

1 spring onion, chopped

*serves 1-2

#4 Super Crispy Oven Baked Fries

~750g yellow potatoes, cut into fries (1.65 pounds)
enough hot water to cover the fries
1 tsp of salt, more to taste after baking
1 tbsp oil + more for the baking sheet
additional spices of choice

salt and pepper dip:

1 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
salt, pepper
hot sauce

*serves about 3

#5 Marshmallow Coffee Cookies

2 cups + 1 tbsp flour (240g + 1 tbsp)
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
⅓ cup melted vegan butter (80ml)
3 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce
¾ cup raw sugar (180g)
¼ cup strong coffee (60ml)
1 – 2 handfuls of vegan mini marshmallows

30 min rest in the fridge before baking

*yields 12 large cookies
